A 26-year-old doctor employed at the KEM Hospital in Mumbai was reportedly attacked with a knife by three individuals, including the brother of a woman he was romantically involved with. This information was confirmed by a police official on Thursday.
According to the officer, the doctor had been in a relationship with the woman. The incident took place on Wednesday morning near a Hanuman temple outside the hospital located in Parel.
The officer further explained that Dr. Vishal Yadav was assaulted by the woman's brother, who works in the hospital's CVTS department. The woman's family had recently discovered their relationship. A representative from the Boisar police station stated, 'The woman's brother, Farid Khan, along with his accomplice Nabeel and another individual, attacked the doctor with a knife, resulting in serious injuries. A case has been registered against the three under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, and the investigation is ongoing.'
